1. Trim the stems: Cut 1–2 cm off each stem at a 45° angle using clean scissors or a knife to help with water absorption.

2. Use a clean vase: Fill it with fresh, room-temperature water to prevent bacteria build up.

3. Remove lower leaves: Leaves below the waterline can cause rot and murky water.

4. Change water every 2 days: Refill with clean water and re-trim stems to extend freshness.

5. Keep in a cool spot: Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or nearby fruits that emit ethylene gas.
